Solo and Ensemble Contest 2016

Yesterday, 19 of our HMS band students performed at the WTSBOA Solo and Ensemble Contest at the University of TN at Martin. Students performed a variety of classical solos, duets, and trios for judges with each performance being individually scored from a 1 to a 5 (one being the highest and 5 being the lowest). All of our HMS students scored a 1 (superior) or a 2 (excellent) on their performances. This was our most successful year at the contest so far! In total, our 19 students brought home 30 ribbons. Several students won multiple ribbons for scoring a 1 or a 2 in multiple performances.
